Gisela and all the Andorran team for the
Eurovision is already in the Serbian capital, Belgrade. There,
they don't stop rehearsing and promoting the song to make
everybody know that there is a singer called Gisela, singing a
song called Casanova, representing a small country called
Andorra.
Last Sunday Gisela and the rest of the team
arrived to the city hosting the contest, and the hard work
started on Monday. Then came the two first rehearsals. There we
could see how is the stage and specially the background while
Gisela and the dancers are performing. It's mostly full of
flowers, spining around. On the other hand, the two platforms of
each side, turn to red colours.
SOME CHANGES
An important issue that early came is the
size of the stage. Once there, they realized that it's smaller
than expected and the choreography couldn't fit properly in it.
So that, the performance was changed a little also to introduce
some steps on the laterals.
A part of this change, also the melody has
some differences. They come at the end of the song. The backing
singers sing the chorus while Gisela makes some solos.
The technical and production team from
Andorra followed very closely the rehearsals and applied for
some other changes: some realization details and something
related with the decoration of the stage. Some details to be
fixed for the upcoming rehearsals.
THE CHOREOGRAPHY
The choreography breaks a lot with the style
shown by Casanova's video clip. It's not that elegant, but
becomes more fresh and young. The dancers and backing singers
spread strength and movement all over the stage, from one side
to the other one, while Gisela stays in the middle of the scene,
singing the song.
The colours surrounding them are mostly read
and with some white flashes coming from the background. All them
fit with the colours the costumes seem to be. The make up chief
explained on Andorra Televisió that the make up will be soft and
the hairstyle will look undressed. She added that the dress
combines colours like gold and different kinds of brown, like
the chocolate one. Actually, it seems that the dress is going to
be shocking and something important in the general appearance of
the performance. Something makes thing that this kind of golden
top that Gisela wore on the second rehearsal is a part of the
final dress. But we'll have to wait until the 20th of May to
know everything completely. |
